Cryptocurrency traders now favor Ethereum, Solana and two ETH competitors, according to Top Sentiment Tracker

An autonomous bot that has been outperforming the crypto market by using weekly trader survey data shows a bullish bias towards Ethereum, Solana, and two additional smart contract altcoins.

The Real Vision Bot was jointly developed by quantitative analyst and hedge fund CEO Mortiz Seibert as a way to get signals and gauge trader sentiment from fans of the Real Vision financial content platform.

Real Vision says the bot has had an ‘astonishing’ track record of outperforming the aggregate pool of top 20 cryptocurrencies by more than 20%, simply by probing merchant preferences.

The latest survey results show a slight shakeup of the most popular dozen crypto assets compared to last week. Traders still prefer an overweight wallet in Ethereum (ETH), with 39% of respondents choosing ETH as their number one currency to gain weight.

Smart contract platform competitor Solana (SOL) comes in second with 33%, followed by open source decentralized blockchain network Algorand (ALGO) with 24%.

King crypto Bitcoin (BTC) and the smart contract platform Avalanche (AVAX) tied for fourth place at 23%.

The Polygon Multi-Chain Scaling Solution (MATIC) and the Polkadot Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (DOT) were a fraction behind in the rankings.

Rounding out the top 10 crypto assets were stablecoin-focused Terra (LUNA), the decentralized oracle Chainlink (LINK), and the BNB utility token from cryptocurrency exchange Binance.

Nearby were a couple of scalable decentralized blockchain platforms, Cardano (ADA) and Elrond (EGLD).

Among the top twelve this week were virtual gaming world Decentraland (MANA), sports-focused Chiliz (CHZ), non-fungible token integrator (NFT) Enjin Coin (ENJ), and scalable blockchain platform. Fantom (FTM).

Participants in Real Vision Bot surveys do not necessarily have to own the crypto in question in order to vote for it. In an interview with Real Vision, the bot’s co-creator, Moritz Seibert, describes it as a “hive mind” that is capable of beating other entities in the crypto ecosystem.

“This bot is really fascinating because it started as a research project, where we linked it with a Real Vision Exchange to run paper wallets based on weekly surveys, where what we wanted to find out is if there is a Real Vision hive mind that can beat markets and you can also beat the interviewees, the professionals who are interviewed on the Real Vision platform.

And so it turns out that there is a hive-minded cryptocurrency portfolio that is way ahead of the cryptocurrency portfolio run by bots and experts and the market. ‘
