The death of the cartoonist Antonio Helguera, shook the cultural union this Friday. The 55-year-old monero died in Mexico City due to a heart attack, as reported The Day, the publishing house of which it was a part.
The first to report on the death of Helguera was the Opinion coordinator of said medium, Luis Hernández, who used his social networks to break the news and offer condolences to his family.

Helguera was born in Mexico City in 1965 and since 1983 he began his career as a cartoonist of political satire in the newspaper The day. Besides in The Day, collaborated in media such as the magazine MILLENNIUM Weekly, Forever!, El Chahuistle Y The chamuco, in addition to Canal Once, Channel 22 and TV UNAM, where he was currently the host of El Chamuco TV together with Cintia Bolio, José Hernández, Rafael Pineda Grated, Rafael Barajas The Snooper and Patricio Ortiz.
He studied engraving at “La Esmeralda” National School of Painting, Sculpture and Engraving and received the National Prize for Journalism in 1996 and 2002.
